Can a church as we have come to imagine it really be contemplative? Laurence Freeman will share his vision of what the Spirit is already doing to reshape the church. He believes we have to look back to the origins and forwards into the unknown. We are not archivists, nor caretakers of a buildings, but followers of the Way.

The "God Can" Life is an eight week study in the church library each week through the end of October. This study will use a book by Max Lucado and will be led by Pastor Chuck Carlson and Malinda Greeley but will include ample discussion and study time.

First Congregational Church of Prescott, Wednesdays, September 18 & 25, 5 p.m.

Ronda Hatfield, LPN, is a retired home health nurse worked with caregivers and facilitated caregiver support groups over the last 15 years of her career. She will lead a presentation and discussion on developing kind and compassionate interactions with those experiencing memory loss and dementia. She will show a DVD by Teepa Snow, MS, occupational therapist and dementia care specialist.
