Rev Rock Fremont from Shepherd of the Hills has been invited to join the Attorney General’s Clergy Council. At the first meeting, the group took on the issue of the opioid crisis with a group created to look at policy suggestions and community engagement strategies.

The Good Shepherd UCC in Sahuarita is recruiting Spanish speakers to assist asylum seekers at the border. The Kino Border Initiative and The Florence Project are coordinating. Their first trip to the Nogales border will be July 14th. Want to volunteer? Contact Connie at caglione@gmail.com

First Church Phoenix is hosting “A Call to Conscience- How to make reproductive justice an act of faith” on July 15th from 1-3. Speakers will explore ways to strengthen interfaith activism that supports the rights of women and girls.

Church of the Painted Hills has called a new pastor, Rev Michael Lonergan, who will arrive in late September. Casas Adobes generously gifted $5000 to Painted Hills to assist in search and moving expenses.
