This week marks the one-year anniversary of Church of the Palms’ Feet-N-More Shower Trailer ministry. This ministry goes out into communities throughout the Phoenix basin to serve where needed: from Tempe to Glendale to Surprise to Peoria to Sun City and everywhere in between. Thus far, 500 showers have been given. But, really, it's more than that! Hope is reborn. And people just feel better about themselves. It’s the church being the church!  The Feet-N-More Shower Trailer ministries is a prime example of the church being the church - it goes out to where the people are. Thus, it is The Palms being the palms of Jesus.  Desert Garden UCC in Sun City West helps with the laundry side of this ministry – it takes a village – thank you!

First Christian Church in Las Cruces is excited about their new church logo and the potential it has to advertise their congregation to their  community.

Desert Garden UCC at 18818 N. 128th Avenue in Sun City West, AZ, has a functional organ and a functional piano available free to any church in the conference. Both have been used in DGUCC’s Fellowship Hall. The recipient church will need to be responsible for transporting them. For more information email office@desertgardenchurch.org or call 623-584-1795.

From Rev. Cameron Trimble:

God of Peace,
In the face of terrible violence in Ukraine:
We pray for global leaders to stand firm, and do all that they can to protect innocent human life.
We pray for the people of Ukraine, that they are spared trauma, violence and death.
We pray for Ukrainian soldiers doing what they can to hold off Russian advances.
We pray for European democratic leaders, that they hold strong to their unity and stand on the values of democracy.
We pray for the Russian soldiers, that they act with compassion and restrain their great capacity for harm.
We pray the Russian people rise up and say, “No!” to violence, aggression and war.

We pray for safety.
We pray for retreat.
We pray for peace.
God, in your mercy, hear our prayers.
Amen
