Immigrant Justice Solidarity workshop

Saturday, February 24, 9 AM - 1 PM
Unitarian Universalist Church, Goddard Hall
4831 E 22nd St, Tucson, AZ 85711

This is a four-hour interactive workshop to support the vibrant Immigrant justice movement in Southern Arizona. This workshop is designed to support non-immigrants to take strategic, effective, and accountable collective action in solidarity with immigrant communities to end deportations, detention, and challenge the border wall. This workshop can support all people who are not immigrants to be stronger partners; it is especially geared towards white activists and majority white organizations and faith groups to support white folks in identifying and challenging white supremacy. It also has a focus on embodiment and how we can come to solidarity work from a more grounded place. This workshop will aim to support participants in taking accountable action towards local immigrant justice struggles.

Snacks provided.

Childcare available on request. To utilize childcare please contact Mary at mwiese@uuctucson.org by Saturday, Feb 17th to reserve a space.
