A youth delegation will represent the Southwest Conference at March for Our Lives in Washington D.C. on March 24, 2018. The SWC will cover airfare and one night’s hotel or hostel costs for high school students who are part of Southwest Conference congregations (ages 14-18). We will do the same for one chaperone for female students and one chaperone for male students for each church provided there are students from their church on the trip. Meal costs, additional housing, and other incidentals are the responsibility of the trip participants. The SWC asks that each congregation sending youth/chaperones to March for Our Lives contribute what they can toward the costs of their participants’ attendance. Members and friends of Southwest Conference congregations are invited to donate to support this justice action by our youth. Checks may be designated WASHINGTON MARCH. These are preliminary details. More information will be forthcoming. We need the names of students and chaperones planning to join the SWC delegation as soon as possible.
