Resources for ONA churches

Spring webinars: The Coalition's popular series of webinars resumes on May 8 with "ONA 101," an informative introduction for churches taking their first steps towards an ONA covenant. "ONA 201" is designed for existing ONA churches: learn the best practices for ONA evangelism, advocacy, communications and marketing! New in our schedule is "TRANS FAMILY" for pastors and lay leaders who are caring for families with transgender children. All webinars are at 7 p.m. (Eastern) on Tuesdays. We'll repeat the series in the fall. Discounts available when more than three participants gather at one computer. Please share the word with ONA and not-yet-ONA churches in your Conference!

Building an Inclusive Church workshops: "Building an Inclusive Church" (BIC) is an ecumenical training program for congregations on their journey towards LGBTQ affirmation. It's the standard resource we recommend for churches as they plan their ONA experience. BIC is based on the principle of "Graceful Engagement." BIC will help your church design a healthy ONA process that builds consensus and reduces the risk of conflict.  BIC workshops for lay and ordained leaders have been scheduled from June through September around the country: see the list in our calendar below. There may be one near you! To buy a copy of the "ONA Planning Guide," including a copy of the "Building an Inclusive Church Toolkit," follow this link to UCC Resources.

Podcasts for a Just World: This special Easter series of UCC podcasts focuses on the gift of sexuality. Join host Amy Johnson for "Alive! In our Sexuality in Faith." The series continues through Easter season. Click here.
