Conversations on Gender and Violence: What's Missing?

Wed, August 29, 2018
6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Conversations regarding gender-based violence are happening among many these days. For the experiences and voices of still others missing from these critical conversations, the #MeToo Movement increases frustration, hopelessness, isolation, and anger. This event explores gaps in gender-based violence advocacy and considers realities often ignored, such as missing and murdered Indigenous women, violence against transgender and gender non-conforming individuals, gender-based violence against people of color, and the role of toxic masculinity in condoning abuse and silencing male victims of assault. Using a World Cafe format with table discussions and knowledgeable facilitators, all are welcome to this important dialogue.

This event is free to attend, but you are asked to register.
