Today at the Rincon Migrant Shelter

from their newsletter:

Volunteer opportunities

We had 42 volunteers with us this past Saturday from Moms Demand Action - AZ. They brought tons of donations, including gifts for the kids, helped out with some bodega and kitchen projects, and were overall very supportive of our shelter. Thank you to all who came!

Do you have a group that would like to volunteer? Doesn't need to be this big to make a difference! Let me know.

Did you know that here at the shelter we offer ESL classes twice a week? We teach very basic English that is helpful for travel. We would like to offer classes more often, and are looking for volunteers who might be interested in helping with that. Are you one? Let me know!

Current Need List

The kitchen needs chicken (boneless, skinless chicken breasts), milk, eggs, smooth peanut butter, jam, fruit (long watermelons, bananas, apples, and oranges), squash, and La Victoria HOT salsa.

The bodega needs bottles of water, travel size deodorant, lip balm, Kleenex packs, women's bras (sizies 32-38), flip-flops/sandals, belts, and clothing for boys (sizes 2T-8).

Want to give but aren't sure how? Don't forget we have an Amazon Wish List!
