Opioid Abuse Training Session—Tucson

Friday/Saturday, January 17-18 at Catholic Diocese of Tucson
Cathedral Square – 192 So. Stone Ave, Tucson, AZ

Jan 17 - 1st session 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, second session 2:00 to 4:00 PM
Jan 18 - 10:00 AM to Noon

The training will have three segments.

  1. Training on how to identify persons abusing Opioids.

  2. Opioid Addiction: A Father’s Experience
    Mr. Doug Larson/ All Saints Lutheran Church (Lost his son to Opioid Abuse)

  3. How to utilize Narcan for persons that have overdosed on opioids & treatment possibilities. Laura Morehouse, MPH CHES, Arizona Poison & Drug Information Center, The University of Arizona

This training is focused on educating clergy and their parishioners on the warning signs and dangers of opioid abuse. Please share info regarding this training with your place of worship and others who may benefit. All are welcome to participate, but space may be limited. We are hoping to recruit nurses to participate. If you register via email, please include your mailing address and phone number. Upon completion of the training, qualified attendees will receive COMPLIMENTARY NARCAN for your congregation (subject to availability).
