Rev. James Pennington to receive the first Arizona Jews for Justice "Partner in Justice" award

Arizona Jews for Justice is honored to award Pastor James Pennington, the 1st Arizona Jews for Justice "Partner in Justice" award!

Here is what they have to say about him:

"Since the founding of Arizona Jews For Justice, Pastor James has been a steadfast and true partner. Pastor James has stood by our side at our many planning vigils, rallies, and educational events, always willing to lend a hand in times of great crisis. He has created sacred spaces for us to learn & lead together!

In all he does, Pastor James is full of empathy and humility. He opened his church as a sanctuary to asylees, serves those struggling with homelessness and mental illness, builds bridges between faith communities, and dedicates himself and his faith to social justice efforts around the clock! When the Jewish community is under attack due to anti-Semitic prejudice, Pastor James immediately asks what he can do to be an ally. Our words of gratitude cannot be expressed fully here."

You are invited to join in the celebration!

Please join Arizona Jews for Justice at Rabbi Dr. David Ellenson's Valley Beit Midrash talk on Thursday, January 23rd at Temple Solel of Paradise Valley where we will celebrate Pastor James and his dedication to justice.
