Earth Day is going to be a big deal this year. The 50th Anniversary of Earth Day, April 22, is right around the corner. It’s also the 5th Anniversary of Pope Francis’ Laudato Si’.

I’m writing to encourage you to participate in Faith Climate Action Week, April 17-26. There are so many possibilities from which to choose:

  • Preach a sermon on climate justice

  • Teach a class on Earth Care

  • Join in a youth-led march for Earth Day

  • Plant a tree

  • Show the film, “The Human Element”

  • Honor our Sister/ Mother Earth with a special worship service

  • The theme is “Love Made Visible.”
