Food banks in need of healthy volunteers

About 80% of the volunteers that food banks rely on to function are retired folks over the age of 65. For obvious reasons, many of them had to stop volunteering. Food banks are now in need of healthy volunteers to help distribute food and build food boxes.

Use the Arizona Food Bank Network Find a Food Bank directory to locate a food bank closest to you and contact them directly, or you may select a link to the Volunteer page of one of their member food banks to help build food boxes:

Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona               St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance

United Food Bank               Yuma Community Food Bank               Desert Mission Food Bank

Food banks are taking precautions at this time to ensure they are following CDC and state guidance on sanitation and congregation.
