St. Paul’s UCC Mission Outreach Team Update on options for community service and giving during the COVID-19 crisis

The needs in our community have increased greatly since the Covid-19 lock down, job loss, and school closings began.

CRISIS IN THE NAVAJO NATION

New Mexico's former Gov. Bill Richardson has partnered with the New Mexico Children's Foundation and Molina Healthcare to bring medical supplies to the Navajo Nation.

“The Navajo people face an unprecedented challenge as corona-virus spreads through the Nation,” Richardson said. “Working with our partner organizations, we want to assist in the purchase, delivery, and distribution of critical medical supplies to the Navajo people.”

For those interested in donating, visit the New Mexico Children's Foundation website or mail a check to:

HAVEN HOUSE (Domestic Violence Shelter)

Many of you have already given but please keep them on your list.

This is a partial quote from the new Executive Director, Kristi Rhinehart:

“There has been an increase of crisis reports in recent weeks. It is an unfortunate reality that domestic violence is so prevalent.  Haven House aims to shine a light on what is typically hidden and encourage victims to come forward and seek help.”

STOREHOUSE WEST

St.Paul’s members and friends have contributed food for Storehouse West for years.  Now, with so many people out of work, the demand for food and other services has more than tripled now. If you prefer to donate food, address and phone number are listed below.
