Ways that folks at home in Tucson can help in these troubled times

Thanks to Casas Adobes Congregational UCC’s newsletter for these:

Masks for Keeling Teachers, Students, and Families: We just found out that many in the Keeling community are not able to get masks.  If you are able, masks are needed for the teachers, administrators, children and their families (yes, need some children sizes).  Please drop them off anytime at Rita B’s house (message the SWC for the address).

Casa Maria Soup Kitchen: Need peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, Styrofoam cups, plastic spoons, fruit and cookies.  Items may be taken to their location, Casa Maria 401 E. 26th Street, Tucson, and volunteers are willing to pick up at your car.  They feed homeless daily till about 11:00 am, giving soup and a bag lunch to go.  Brian Flagg is the director and the phone number is 624-0312.

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) of Southern Arizona: Requests for cloth masks including small ones for children.  They are also requesting bandanas, bars of soap, toiletries, one quart  Ziplock bags, socks, hats, sunscreen, and clean clothing.  Items for NAMI may be dropped off at 6122 E. 22nd Street, Tucson.  Any questions on either of these activities feel free to call Gypsy Lyle 887-4933.  Mask making directions can be obtained from Michelle Perrin 561-2630.  If you make masks, feel free to designate how you would like them distributed and your preferences will be honored.
