How to Speak to Your Faith Community About Racial Justice

Take the Pledge! Join the Interfaith Racial Justice Initiative Today!

The Arizona Faith Network has launched a Racial Justice Initiative in response to the recent tension and unrest following the murder of George Floyd.

As a first step of this initiative we are inviting faith communities throughout the state of Arizona to take the pledge and designate one weekend in July or early August to speak, teach, or preach on racial justice. This is a strategic time where communities of faith will join together to gain insight into systemic racism and the challenges which individuals and communities struggle.

Many faith leaders and communities have expressed a desire to engage in racial justice work, but do not know where to begin. This interfaith program is design to engage communities in this work and help guide faith leaders and their communities through the process from July 2020 through February 2021.

The AFN Racial Justice Initiative will provide a toolkit, talking points and resource materials for faith leaders to utilize in their communities. Faith leaders are also invited to attend a brief webinar with the AFN Racial Justice Initiative Leadership on June 30 at 12:00 pm (register here).
