First Congregational of Albuquerque voted to become an official Sanctuary Church at their Congregational meeting last week.

Church of the Painted Hills is starting Qi Gong classes on Fridays at 1pm. Qi Gong is for all ability levels and helps improve balance, flexibility, and increased energy.

Scottsdale UCC will host a benefit concert on Feb 10th at 5pm featuring Belarusian mezzo- soprano Julia Kazimirovitch and Albanian pianist Klara Kukumi. Proceeds will benefit the Belarusian Vocal Academy for underprivileged children. $10 donation per person. Potluck during intermission.

Encanto’s annual Youth Group Yard Sale will be on Feb 23rd starting at 7am. Come and shop. Proceeds benefit the Youth Camp and Activities fund.

The Dickenson family of Church of the Beatitudes has hosted 32 refugee families over the past 2 months through Interfaith Refugee Asylum Volunteers. They encourage others to contact the agency to find out how to provide hospitality to legal, fully vetted families.

Desert Palm is working with Gathering Humanity, an agency helping immigrants get settled in the Phoenix area. The agency sets up apartments and stocks the shelves.
