Celebrating 60 years of hearing God's call to learn, to love and to serve together. April launches a 6-month celebration of Shepherd of the Hills bringing faith, hope and love to the Valley of the Sun for 60 years!

Desert Palm will observe its 40th anniversary on Sunday, May 19th with a celebratory service at 9:00 a.m. followed by a potluck brunch. All our welcome to join us as we reminisce, laugh and remember the fellowship that has graced Desert Palm for 40 years.

At First Congregational Church of Flagstaff on Saturday afternoons, 2–4 p.m. beginning in February. All are welcome!

This series will address some of the questions that arise when we or loved ones move into and through the second half of life.

Led by specialists on various topics, we’ll learn about ways to

• identify the challenges, questions, and options we have,

• embrace the opportunities that present themselves and

• develop meaningful conversations with family, friends, professionals on several topics that face us as we get older.

It is a series, but you may attend one or several or all. There is no charge, except for the final session when the American Red Cross will offer CPR Training.

The Church of the Palms and United Church of Sun City are pleased to participate in the Dementia Care and Education Memory and Faith Project, an educational project designed to provide education and resources to churches across Arizona. The program is being offered in churches with the goal being to mobilize and educate faith communities, increasing awareness and understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and supporting those living with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers.

First, we have named our facility – Hope House of Sedona.  We are quite excited that our new mission has this meaningful name: offering Hope to those in Sedona who truly need it.  Extending the reach of Christ has taken on new form and meaning for our church.
