"Rooted: Spiritual Direction for the Resistance" at First Church UCC Phoenix is a new opportunity for political and social justice activists to explore the deep spiritual roots of their passion for change. Our first gathering will be Thursday June 1 from 6-8pm in Room 14 of First Church. Led by Teresa Blythe and Nelson Mendoza and sponsored by the Phoenix Center for Spiritual Direction, this will be a form of group spiritual direction--confidential, contemplative and inclusive of persons from any faith tradition.

The practice of spiritual direction is about paying attention to those experiences in life that are deeply meaningful for you. Spiritual direction for the resistance will explore your experience of activism and resistance at the deepest possible human level.
