Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network (TIHAN) organizes the monthly Poz Café luncheon. It’s an opportunity for those living with HIV to get out of the house, take a break, meet other positive people, and enjoy a meal prepared by local congregations.
It’s Rincon’s turn to provide a lunch for 130-180 people living with HIV and their guests. This is followed by time to "hang out", chat, participate in bingo and a prize raffle, and receive care packages full of toiletries and other necessities.
As a co-sponsor of Poz Café for February 2018, the role of Rincon Congregational UCC is to provide volunteers, help with the cost of the meal, and bring donations of toiletry items and bingo prizes.
Donations include laundry detergent, gift cards, pet food, toilet paper, bar soap, tissues, bath towels, and small household items.
