Lenten Film Series on Friday evenings beginning at 6:30PM for film screening on various social justice issues to intended to deepen our time of Lenten reflection. The series kicked off March 9th with Human Flow (about the refugee crisis).
These films will follow:
Friday March 16th: Before the Flood (a popular and powerful documentary about the ecological crisis narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio)
Friday March 23rd: I am Not Your Negro (a masterful exploration of the issue of race seen through the eyes of the gifted writer, James Baldwin)
Friday March 30th: Romero (about the life and assassination of Arch Bishop Oscar Romero, a key figure in Liberation Theology who took a stand on behalf of the poor)
A brief period of discussion will follow the viewing of each film along with light snacks.
