Crane and Butterfly Store

Free Store to Serve the Albuquerque Community

First Congregational UCC Albuquerque's Crane and Butterfly store is reopening on Monday, Sept 10. The store will be open from 3:00-4:30 p.m. each Monday through the 2018-19 school year. This began as a free store for Jefferson Middle School children. Since Jefferson is no longer a Community School, the store now will serve low income families from a number of other schools, helping to meet a very urgent need.

They will need clothing of many sizes throughout the school year and will keep you informed of the needs.  Right now, They're requesting the following items: Socks and underwear in all children's sizes, Kleenex, toilet tissue, and small toiletries such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, lotion, shampoo, conditioner.

First UCC ABQ is now collecting items in the bin in the Social Hall labeled "Crane and Butterfly." They are also asking for folks who are willing to staff the store one day each month or two.
