Church of the Beatitudes: A Blessing of the animals will be held on the Plaza (in front of Nelson Hall) on Saturday, November 9 at 10 a.m. Bring your animal best friend for a blessing, Dogs and cats are welcome. Snakes must be in a secure container! All are welcome.
Desert Palm UCC: Sunday, October 20, 5 p.m. Pastors Tom and Michael-Ann will officiate at our 10th Annual Blessing of the Animals. So bring your furry pets, feathered pets, finned pets, reptilian pets, those with hooves, with horns, those that slither, and even those that oink, Tom and Michael-Ann will welcome each animal with a special prayer.
If you would like to bring an offering to benefit God’s Creatures, please feel free to bring any kind of animal food. It will be given to Empty Bowl Pet Food Pantry, an agency that helps homeless folks care for their pets. For more information about the organization, please see their website.
Shepherd of the Hills UCC: Bark Your Calendars! (Sorry) The Second Annual Blessing of the Pets will take place at Shepherd of the Hills UCC on Saturday, October 5 from 10-11 AM. Bring your furry friends down for a blessing as we wrap up the Season of Creation.
Encanto Community Church: Animal Blessing Service on Sunday, October 6 at 10 a.m. - a one hour service of celebration! All pets welcome; please use a leash or carrier. This year’s Animal Blessing will feature some therapy dogs and their owners. Gillian Crocker and her therapy dog Ricky will be joining us for our October 6 service. So bring your wonderful pets to church and enjoy the good times.
United Church of Sun City: Blessing of the Animals! Critters large or small; furry, feathered or scaly; slithering, walking, flying or swimming: join us October 5th at 10 a.m. in recognition for the companionship and joy you bring to our lives. All are welcome, including your human friends! Donations of new pet toys will be accepted for local rescue organizations. Treats for pets and humans alike will be provided.
