Dr. Miguel A. De La Torre is an author, justice scholar, and activist. He is currently the Professor of Social Ethics and Latinx Studies at Iliff School of Theology and has authored over 35 books, with his most recent being Burying White Privilege: Resurrecting a Badass Christianity.

De La Torre's reimagining of a Jesus from the barrio who chose poverty and disrupted the status quo, saying "no" to oppression and its symbols, even when one of those symbols is Jesus, is the first step to saying "yes" to liberation.

We believe this will be a soul-changing experience that will lead all who participate into action, helping change our historical systems of oppression for all peoples living in the margins.
