Granite Mountain Bel Canto Singers present: The Music of Romance
Music celebrating LOVE and ROMANCE... old favorites by Stephen Foster such as "Beautiful Dreamer", "Jeanie with the Light Brown Hair", and "O Susanna", light madrigals and love songs. Guest artist baritone Darrell Rowader, director of the Prescott Pops Symphony chorus, will sing his favorite love song.
Enjoy light-hearted expressions of love as well as tragic heartbreaking moments in select opera pieces. Composers of every age have been inspired by the great love stories of history. Well-loved arias include "Mon coeur" from Samson and Delilah and "Porgi Amor" from The Marriage of Figaro. The dramatic tenor aria "E lucevan le stelle" from Tosca, sung by tenor Efren Puig, will conclude the concert. Pianists Barbara Freund and Laura Taylor will accompany the Bel Canto Singers.
