The Desert Garden United Church of Christ Chancel Choir accompanied by an instrumental ensemble and conducted by Dennis Marsollier will perform the musical, Were You There on That Christmas Night? on Sunday, December 11, at 9:30 a.m. The cantata, composed and arranged by Lloyd Larson, will be performed in the church sanctuary at 18818 N. 128th Ave., Sun City West.

Larson refers to composer Natalie Sleeth’s classic Christmas anthem, Were You There on That First Christmas Night, as the cornerstone of the musical. Larson writes, “Obviously, time and location remove any of us from actually being present . . . “Yet, in the mystery of God’s holy ways, all of us in a sense were there.”
