On Saturday, January 20, 2024, the Saturday Morning Social Gang from Encanto Community Church is coordinating a day trip and scenic nature cruise on The Dolly Steamboat on Canyon Lake. This will be a six-mile narrated cruise on the 103’ long Dolly Steamboat that takes approximately 90 minutes.

When Father Anne visited First Church Phoenix recently to celebrate mass, she spoke about about the enormous change the ordination of women would bring not just to the Catholic Church but to all of us. As the largest non-government provider of education and healthcare around the globe, with a seat at the table at the UN, the influence of women within the church would have great impact outside of the church. Everything is at stake, Father Anne said. Father Anne was excommunicated for being ordained as part of the Roman Catholic women’s priest movement. She is traveling throughout the country to speak to congregations like First Church. She believes that there are many supporters within the church and she hopes to make this issue impossible for bishops to ignore.
