The Casas Adobes Library Committee thanks the congregation for its support of their recent book sale.  They sold over 1,000 books and dozens of puzzles. The collected money, $840, was donated to the church Intergenerational Family and Youth Activities.  As folks finish their books and puzzles, they are invited to donate them to back to next year's book sale! 

First Congregational in Albuquerque is currently collaborating with FaithWorks to supply a homeless family with needed household items as they move from a motel into an apartment. After the church service a couple weeks ago, folks signed up to donate specific household items for the assigned homeless family. Tags for nearly all requested items were taken- and the rest finished up this week.  

On Monday, March 13, from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm, at the AZ State Capitol, Wesley Bolin Plaza, 1700 W Washington St, Phoenix AZ 85007.  Join Arizona Faith Network and learn how you can support anti-hunger programs in the community and two very important bills: HB2211, that will reduce recidivism and eliminate barriers to SNAP, and HB2142 which uplifts local farmers and Arizona's economy by providing Arizona grown produce for families experiencing food insecurity. A complementary lunch will be available! Arizona Anti-Hunger Alliance members who are focused on nutrition and strengthening food security around the state will be on hand.

The Good Shepherd Church (Sahuarita) Patio Sale returns after a few years’ hiatus, and this will be a BIG one! Storage units are filled with goodies!   Items included are:  furniture, patio furniture, linens, books & puzzles, kitchen, art & collectibles, odds & ends like lamps, knick knacks, etc. electronics, clothing, jewelry, tools of all kinds. 

SALE DAYS:  Fri., March 3, 8-Noon/Sat, March 4, 8-11

And if you are in the Phoenix area, the 2023 Spring Yard Sale at Encanto Community Church will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., with proceeds being split between the Church General Fund and Youth Activities. Of course, it will feature all kinds of items including furniture, artwork, clothing, holiday items, collectibles, and clever gift ideas!

The first Church of the Painted Hills Community Senior Luncheon will be held on Monday, March 13th at 11:30am in the CPH Educational Building. Please come for a light lunch and some community fellowship. These luncheons will continue to occur on the second Monday of every month.  Following the luncheon, from 1pm to 2pm, will be the first Technology Support Class for Seniors! Stop in for some friendly help with the electronic devices that have become part of everyday life! 

Thursday and Friday are movie filming days at First Congregational in Prescott. Folks can come for one, two or three scenes being shot at the church over the two days.  They should bring changes of clothes. Staged scenes will include Sunday worship, a bake sale and a clothing drive!
