Church of the Red Rocks UCC’s interim pastor, the Rev. Dr. Marvin Morgan arrived and he and departing bridge pastor, Len Silvester, shared a transitional service. Dr. Marvin L. Morgan, a Certified Intentional Interim Minister (IIM), a Professional Transition Specialist (PTS) and Church Consultant, has served as a United Church of Christ pastor and interim pastor for more than 50 years, in NC, NY, GA, TN, IL, and VA. Dr. Morgan has served in several Association, Conference and National UCC positions, including several years at the national level of the denomination.

It is with much regret that we must cancel a large portion of Common Ground on the Border this year. However, we will still offer the border lectures on Saturday morning (January 15). We will be able to have some present on our patio and we'll offer these lectures on Zoom as well. We will also be able to offer a concert on the patio at a time of day when temperatures will be suitable.

The Valley Food Pantry, a ministry of Peace United Church of Christ in El Paso, Texas, held another drive-through food drive on November 13th. The Valley Food Pantry grew out of Valley Congregational Church in El Paso which closed several years ago. The sale of the property gave its start to this ministry of providing food for those in need.
Today, the food pantry, along with Peace UCC, is housed in St. Timothy Evangelical Lutheran Church. Volunteers from both Peace and St. Timothy worked on the drive through food distribution.
