In a world that is entrenched in systems of oppression, the 24-hour news cycle, and social media, pain, suffering, and loss are always on display in one way or another. The path to justice is a seemingly never ending swim upstream. This conversation will consider viewpoints from community members that represent secular and faith-based practitioners and explore questions related to: What is empathy? Is the ability to choose empathy a position of privilege? From the conversation should emerge strategies to respond to these lived experiences.
This event will be conducted via Zoom with an opportunity for audience participation. Interested attendees must RSVP via Eventbrite to receive the link and password 24 hours before event.
