Holy Week and Easter are past but we are still a people of the resurrection. Maintaining the joy and faith of Easter can be difficult in a world that feels like Good Friday every day. Living in a world of darkness and uncertainty requires stories and lessons from our tradition and new and innovative experiences and ideas to assist our congregations in keeping the faith and living as a calming presence within the community.

Meeting with others each month can provide each of us with ideas for worship, teaching, group studies, prayer groups, and weekend retreats. These new ideas and resources are not intended only for youth and children but are open to the needs of every generation.

Every generation has its own unique challenges that require a re-evaluation of faith and spirituality as well as how we live it and connect it with our spiritual, mental and emotional self. I have scheduled the first meeting to resume in May. It may not be an idea time for everyone but we need to start gathering. At the May meeting we can adjust the day and time according to the needs of the group.
