Vigil Info
GENERAL INFORMATION
The #StrongerTogetherAZ Peace Vigil is a peaceful vigil that is the kick-off event for the Safety Pin Nation™ Movement in Arizona. The event will take place on the east side of Margaret T. Hance Park in Phoenix, AZ ((1202 N. 3rd St.) near the Phoenix Center for the Arts) on January 20th from 7pm to 9pm. We have permission from the park manager to hold this public assembly on the east side of the park. We are working with the Phoenix PD to help with parking and safety. This Peace Vigil is a way for like-minded individuals to gather together in solidarity, sing songs of peace and healing and share plans of positive community-based action. This is not a march. This event is not taking place at the capitol and is not affiliated with other events happening at the capitol on the same day. We will not have guest speakers on this inaugural event, instead, we will all be one collective voice in song.
Visit www.strongertogetheraz.com for more information and RSVP today!
We ask that each attendee (age 18+) RSVP, which involves letting us know: who you are, what cause is most important to you and, finally, what your post Peace Vigil plan of action will be. Each attendee must have a plan of action, so do not RSVP until you have decided how you want to move forward. See below options:
1) donating money (directly) to a Safety Pin Nation™ partnering organization/project* (or other of your choice)
2) volunteering at one of our Safety Pin Nation™ partnering organizations/projects* (or other of your choice)
