Shadow Rock UCC is requesting our presence for a rapid response action TONIGHT, 7 p.m., at the ICE Office, 2035 N. Central Ave. in Phoenix. A prayer vigil is planned to protest the arrest and probable deportation of Marco Tulio Coss.

After being told that he did not need to be present to file a request for extension of his stay of removal, but that his attorney could do the paperwork for him, ICE officials demanded his immediate presence to be fitted with an ankle bracelet. ICE promised Coss would not be detained. Coss complied, but ICE officials broke their word and violated the trust with Coss and his attorney. Marco Tulio Coss was arrested this afternoon.

Coss has been a Phoenix resident for almost 20 years. His wife and children remain in Phoenix.
