From Rev. Pamela Shepherd of Taos UCC:
Hello, Poor People’s Campaign Supporter! Here's an update about Monday's planned Taos Event from our friend, Jai Cross. I hope you'll join me Monday on Taos Plaza at 11:30--1:00 to lift our voices against racism and economic injustice!
Peace & All Good, Pamela
Week 1 of the Poor People’s Campaign was a big success with 22 Taoseños raising their voices against child poverty in Santa Fe.
Week 2 will be much easier to participate in because it will occur right here in Taos! We will be on the Taos Plaza 11:30-1:00 Monday May 21 to protest racism and economic injustice. We hope that you can join us, at least some of that time, for songs, speakers, big puppets, street theater, and other acts of creative expression. We encourage you to bring meaningful signs or banners that convey your opposition to racism and environmental injustice. The informative and artistic “invisible children” representing child poverty from Week 1 will be with us, as well.
Please pass the word to any friends who might be interested in being a part of this meaningful event.
all the best,
jai cross
