We have been asked to engage in social distancing during the current outbreak of COVID-19. This has forced us to abandon our traditional ways of practicing community. We have walked together, we have held hands during prayers, we have hugged and kissed each other on the cheek. Social distancing precludes all these practices.
So, we offer a different Urban Way of the Cross for the faithful in Albuquerque and elsewhere.
Beginning on Monday, April 6, we will present a daily reflection from a community leader sharing a story from a suffering neighbor or neighbors. Discover the pilgrimage of your heart as you pause with us to hear stories from men, women, and families without a home, from stewards and guardians of our plundered and polluted Earth, from children with hungry tummies and just as hungry hearts, from refugees who are literally dependent on hospitality for their very lives...
You can listen and watch a new reflection each day of Holy Week. Check the Bread New Mexico Blog daily for a new reflection. Each post will begin with scripture reading and end with a prayer. And each entry will have its own hyperlink once published. Here is our schedule.
