Desert Garden is hoping to collect 200 pairs of socks to donate to the Justa Center in Nov. for their “Fill the Box with Socks” drive.

Desert Palm is having a Congregational picnic the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Hamburgers, hot dogs, s’mores, games, and relaxation before the big seasonal rush.

Church of The Red Rocks is soliciting donations to The Giving Angels, a nonprofit that works with low-income, independent-living seniors.

Rincon is supporting TIHAN (Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network) this season with gifts from the “Traveling Tree” for those living with HIV/AIDS.

Congregational Church of the Valley is experimenting with a new leadership model while pastor Sandi continues to live in and commute from Prescott to Scottsdale every week. Rev Dick Wing will assume some of the pastoral duties part time and the congregation will decide in January whether the pastoral partnership is working.

Scottsdale has started an Antiracism Lending Library where folks can take a book and contribute books at their pace. The library is a result of the church’s Lenten White Privilege classes.

Church of the Painted Hills is providing Thanksgiving dinner to the immigrant asylum seekers staying at Rincon this week.

First Church Phoenix has started construction of showers in their facility to accommodate the needs of their immigrant guests and others.

First Congregational UCC of Prescott will host a Transgender Day of Remembrance Service on Nov 20th at 6 PM.
