Choral Festival Weekend at United Church of Santa Fe

Saturday, January 18: Choral Workshop (all day)

Sunday, January 19: Concert at 3 p.m.

On Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend, all singers are invited to an all-day Choral Workshop on Saturday and a 3:00 pm concert on Sunday.

United Church and Coro Lux Choral Director Bradley Ellingboe leads the workshop and concert, with Saturday sessions on Gospel Singing by Dr. Stevie Springer and Alexander Technique by Darci Balkcom. Rev. Talitha Arnold explores the impact of African American spirituals and Gospel singer Mahalia Jackson in the Civil Rights Movement, particularly on Rev. King’s leadership.

Sunday’s concert benefits NM Center for Immigration Law and NM Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind.
