First Congregational of Albuquerque invites you to the 14th annual Sweet Jazz Concert fund raiser for Family Promise of Albuquerque on March 1st, Sunday, at 4:00 pm (come early for the silent auction) at Sandia Presbyterian Church (10704 Paseo Del Norte NE). There will a silent auction and delicious “sweet” refreshments. We generally have over 200 guests who attend this event that helps us to raise money for our programs that assist our guests. The tickets are $20.

Shadow Rock UCC received a lovely and surprising thank you note in the mail this week. It came from the Roberts family, for whom they sponsored and built a Habitat for Humanity House back in 1997. It goes to show how much of a lasting impact one act can make.

Desert Garden UCC in Sun City West has A New Pastoral Intern. Alice Goss was named Pastoral Intern as she begins her journey toward UCC ordination. Alice already has extensive education and experience in pastoral care and general ministry training. She will now be gaining exposure to all facets of church life.
It's a busy week of fun with a variety of Shrove Tuesday/Fat Tuesday celebrations in churches around the conference. Join in for some "rich" food, jazz music, and Mardi Gras beads. Then worship at one of our churches on Wednesday night, Ash Wednesday, as we all begin our journey of Lent.
