Congratulations, graduates! So many newsletters this week had pictures and write-ups of all the grads in our SWC churches. It has been so nice to see all the pictures and send a prayer of best wishes to them all as they plan their next steps. (-Holly)
After a hiatus of three years, United Church of Santa Fe will again welcome Santa Fe Opera Apprentices to Sunday morning worship! They weren’t allowed off campus last year, lest they bring Covid-19 back to the ensemble, but this summer they have permission to participate in things off the opera grounds.
ABQ FaithWorks is always looking for more people to help support asylum-seekers residing in ABQ. Right now, they need people to sort food and transport food boxes on the 3rd Thursday and Friday mornings of each month. Only a 2-3 hour commitment! They are also always looking for Family Liaison Volunteers to walk alongside asylum-seeker/immigrant families for a year as they integrate into life in Albuquerque. Contact Volunteer Coordinator, Odalys Márquez at vc@abqfaithworks.org.
Family Funday Events at Casas Adobes are multi-generational and occur every one to two months, with an especially strong younger group! Pastor John has built a thriving community of families within and without our church walls.

As Rincon moves into a time of “putting our faith into action” during Ordinary Time (in the church calendar) they are taking the time to dust off those Star Words from Epiphany. The idea is to highlight one Star Word per week. The altar will be devoted to that Star Word and a “minute for mission” like opportunity will be available for someone to share their Star Word story. Upcoming Star Words for July and August include: Proclamation, Love, Praise, Kindness, Grace, Contentment, Acceptance, Thoughtfulness, and Peace.
I really liked this pic from the Church of the Palms newsletter this week. Please enjoy “Jesus Looks in the Mirror.” -Holly
