The “2018 Souper Bowl of Caring,” is over.
And the winners are the people who frequent the West Valley Food Bank who received more than 6,000 packages and cans of soup in the friendly competition between United Church of Sun City and the Church of the Palms.
The home team, UC of Sun City, scored the winning touchdown by collecting the most cans and packages of soup and the coveted Silver Ladle Trophy is back on Sun City Blvd.

This year’s presenter is the Rev. Gretta Vosper, a United Church of Canada minister who has been stirring up the thinking of the church and theology in the 21st century. It should be a challenging and insightful conversation.

They also invite you to respond to what you see. More art shows are suggesting a new dimension to the visual experience by articulating written responses as they view — only if wished by the viewer.

Read MoreThe Ministry of Mission and Outreach at Casas Adobes Congregational Church will institute a new program to help children and families living nearby Keeling Elementary School.
In partnership with Keeling and the Community Food Bank, they will begin, in late March, to pilot a once-a-month mobile food pantry open to anyone in the school's vicinity. By the time the program gets fully under way this coming fall, they expect to provide food for hundreds of individuals when food stamps run out at the end of each month.
