One of the Three Great Loves of the United Church of Christ is the love of youth and children. Supporting our one week of summer camp is one of the primary expressions of that great love we do together as a conference.

Over the last years, the camp fees have not kept pace with the actual cost of camp combined with the scholarships we regularly offer. One of our 7-for-7 offerings, the Sow the Seed fund, has dwindled. The new registration fee this year for a full week of camp will be $410 (up from $375 for many previous years) and $246 for Young Junior (2nd-3rd graders) who stay until Wednesday. For many of our families, especially when they have more than one child who wants to go to camp, scholarships through Sow the Seed will be imperative.

Our aim is to grow Sow the Seed $12,000 by March in order to insure we can cover 1/3 of the registration cost as a scholarship. We hope that the campers' local churches will provide another third as scholarship.
