Nathan has been the Assistant Minister at the Good Shepherd UCC in Sahuarita, AZ since fall 2015. He is currently a Member in Discernment in the Southwest Conference and hoping to be ordained in 2018.

Nathan grew up in progressive Baptist circles in Texas and spent many summers attending youth camp where he first experienced a call to ministry. He followed this call to become a graduate of William Jewell College and Vanderbilt Divinity School. He moved to Arizona in 2014 to work at the Tucson-based non-profit BorderLinks where he coordinated delegations of students and people of faith to the US/Mexico border.

Youth Camp is a space where we are able to build Beloved Community, beyond the social categories and hurtful stereotypes that often distract us from the amazing work God is doing in our lives. We need this space now as much as ever before."
