Throughout 2019 and into the early parts of 2020 there was a small group comprised of youth ministers from the local church and partner organizations, conference ministers with youth in their portfolio and national staff members who came together to dream what a gathering for youth ministry leaders could look like. The last time the United Church of Christ offered such a gathering was in the Spring of 2010. Much has changed since then, and even so over the last ten months. With the wide spread of the coronavirus it became apparent that such a gathering would not be possible. However, a new team emerged through the partnership of the Network of Wider Church Youth Ministries and Reset for Renewal was imagined.
It is with great excitement that we share on November 12th-November 14th there will be A virtual gathering for youth ministry leaders to foster relationships, reclaim their resilience and gifts for ministry and reconnect with the pulse of young people in the midst of today’s world through nationally recognized plenary speakers, workshops, worship, spiritual direction and other offerings. Reset for Renewal is designed for individuals who are working with youth and young adult ministries in any of the following ways: Conference level, Outdoor Ministries Association or Education/Campus Ministry settings of the United Church of Christ (and beyond) and local churches.
Conference schedule, as well as registration can be found here.
