Learning opportunities from the Damascus Project

From the Damascus Project:

The Damascus Project is an online learning community open to clergy and lay leaders from across the United Church of Christ. We are a collaborative effort of the Minnesota and Wisconsin Conferences. We have two learning opportunities for clergy and lay people starting in October. And two learning tracks for lay people and MiDs starting in January. The registration deadlines for the courses starting this month is Monday, October 18. Registration happens through our website.  We would love to have folks from your conferences join this learning community and are excited to be able to offer these learning opportunities to colleagues and congregations across our denomination.

Grit and Grace: Creativity, Spirituality and Justice Work is a weekend workshop on Friday, October 22, 6-8 pm and Saturday, October 23, 10 am to noon and 1 pm to 3 pm (all times CT) with additional self-directed engagement and resources available through our online learning platform, The Damascus Project Network. Cost: $65

And

Get Ready to Get Ready: Advent Prep Series is a lecture series to prepare preachers and faith formation leaders for the Advent Season. Five weeks of lectures on Wednesdays at noon CT starting on October 20 with additional self-directed resources and engagement offered through our online learning platform, The Damascus Project Network. Cost: $40 for the series. Lectures will be recorded so no need to be present for all 5 weeks. Meet our biblical commentators!

AND

Preliminary information about Faith Foundations and Leadership Skills two year-long learning tracks specifically for Lay people and Members in Discernment. Registration opens October 15 for these learning opportunities and they start in January, 2022.

Every Damascus Project course offers a multi-faceted educational experience featuring personalized learning at the learners own pace and on their own time, discussion with peers and instructors using the online platform, and real-time, facilitated group engagement. Learners are free to engage with as much or as little of the course content as is helpful and relevant.
