From SFB-CRC (Sahuarita Food Bank–Community Resource Center):
Donors and future donors, volunteers, community leaders, as well as members and friends of the Good Shepherd United Church of Christ—the time has come for you to enjoy a guided tour of SFB-CRC’s new building. We have been promising a preview, so clear your calendar on November 9, 4-6 pm, at 17750 S. La Canada, because we want to give you a sneak peek.
We’d like to show you why we are so excited about this great new facility that your kindness, hard work, and generosity are making possible. It’s going to provide us with the space and improved efficiency we need to vastly improve our food distribution, as well as services and classes designed to support our participants’ journeys to overall well-being. SFB-CRC has been creating and refining our three pillars of community service—family support, health and nutrition, and workforce development. We’ll present a 5-minute program at 4:30, repeated at 5:30, and an SFB-CRC team will be on hand to answer any and all of your questions. Make sure to grab one of our safe and healthy snacks and a bottle of cold water.
You can park in the east and north lots of The Good Shepherd Church, with overflow parking in the lot just south of the construction site. Please gather on the patio of the church and wear masks for everyone’s safety. You need to register on-line at sahuaritafoodbank.org or email Leslie DeGrassi at lesliedegrassi@gmail.com or Penny Pestle ppestle@cox.net. Registration will ensure that you have a spot in a small-group tour (tours are being kept small because of Covid and to make sure all can hear). We look forward to greeting you and giving you a close up view of how this new facility will help us serve our community for many years to come.
